As I try to advance in my life and crave out a living in the world I find my self coming full circle back to gaia.com or what was zaadz.com. I live in a college town and mentor many students but find it hard to find people who share my optimizium and philosphy in life. So, to help my self and motative my self, I will start writting on key lessons as I once did. These are many for me, and are filled with both spelling and gramatical errors. So if you are reading my stuff dont be frustrated.

I guess today my written mediation will be on reaping and sowing and the seeds that I plant. I was taught by my sensei that if I help enough people get what they want I will get what I want. Additionally, Neopolean Hill state that one must render service with no expectation of reward, or with the intent of recieving some unseen benefit.

So I try to live by these principles, I help students navigate the obstacles of being Engineers at Michigan State University. My focus is on under-prepared students. As I write this the answers to my question of the mediation comes. At times I become very frustrated to the point of quitting from trying to help so many people who don't listen. My success, is not in their success but in my efforts to help them succeed. I would spend 20 hours with these students in a week at times and they would not perform well. I equated their low test scores at my failure, however, its not. My job is simply to point the way down the best path for the student to take, and inform them of the terrain of the alternative paths. Ultimately, even though they are 17, 18, 19 year old... it is their live. They have to make their mistakes and take their lumps like I did. This is how we acquire wisdom, when we are young.

So I will keep planting my seeds of positive thoughts, positive actions, self reliance, hard work, and help others. A few will listen and learn.

RC, OUT
